Three plans. The disk tells them apart.

Ten gigabytes, fifty, or two hundred. That is the whole difference. Everything else on the list is either in all three plans or written down as a number you can check.

01the idea

The usual trick is to write "unlimited" and put the real ceiling in a fair use clause on page four of the terms. We print the ceiling. Sometimes it is 5. A small number you can plan around beats a word that means nothing.

The machines stand in Europe. We run them ourselves, and have done since 2016.

1.15 EUR/ month

R2 10 paid three years ahead, without VAT. The rate stays the same for all three years and for the term after that.

What it costs

Plans across, prepaid terms down. The big figure is the monthly rate without VAT, because that is the number a business puts in its budget.

Who each plan is for

Pick by disk first, then check the process count. Moving between plans takes a few minutes and no downtime, so a wrong guess is cheap.

R2 10 10 GB NVMe

One site, its email, and room to breathe. WordPress or a static site for a club, a shop front, a portfolio.

Three sites, ten mailboxes, five databases, five PHP processes running at once. One WordPress with a sane set of plugins fits with room left. Node.js and Python are switched off here, and cron runs every 15 minutes, not every minute.

R2 50 50 GB NVMe

The one most people end up on. As many sites, mailboxes and databases as you care to make.

Fifteen PHP processes, no cap on sites, mailboxes or databases, cron every minute, long running Node.js and Python. A small studio with a dozen client sites lands here and usually stays.

R2 200 200 GB NVMe

For a busy shop, a media archive, or a dozen client sites that all need to be quick at once.

Forty PHP processes, 25 GB per mailbox, 8 GB per database, backups kept a month. Take it when the disk is filling up, or when requests start queuing behind each other in the afternoon.

04what is missing

What you will not find here

  • A price that grows at renewal. The second term costs exactly what the first one cost.
  • Fees for a certificate, for backups, for one more database, for one more mailbox.
  • A cancellation fee or a notice period. The subscription can be stopped on any day and runs to the end of the period you already paid for.
  • A feature held back so it can be sold to you later. The differences between the plans are all in one table.

Shared hosting is the wrong place for anything that needs its own kernel, a steady high load, or guaranteed CPU. A worker that pins a core all day, a game server, video transcoding: we will stop it and tell you which process it was.

Describe what you plan to run before you pay. If it does not belong here, you will hear that instead of an invoice. Ask first
