Terms of service
These terms govern the hosting service provided at r2d2hosting.com (“the service”, “we”, “us”). In force from 11 September 2026.
The Czech wording is the one that governs. This English text is a translation provided so you can read the terms in English; where the two differ, the Czech version applies.

Scope
The service is shared hosting, sold in three plans (R2 10, R2 50, R2 200), described in full on the plans page. The plans differ in the size of the disk, the size of a mailbox and of a database, the number of PHP processes running at once, the cron limits and how long backups are kept. Within one plan, all prepaid terms carry identical features and only the monthly rate differs. An order can be sent only after you tick your agreement with these terms and with the Acceptable Use Policy.
Prices are published both without value added tax and with it, at the statutory rate of 21%. The amount charged is the one including VAT, in the currency chosen at the time of ordering (CZK or EUR); the invoice is issued in the same currency.
Orders and payment
The contract comes into existence when the payment goes through and we confirm the order by email. Confirmation normally arrives within one business day.
Payment is made by card through a payment gateway, in advance for the whole chosen term of 1, 12 or 36 months. The card details are entered in the gateway form and do not reach our server; we learn only whether the payment succeeded. On each renewal the same amount is charged through the gateway for the same term (article 08). There is no setup or activation fee, and the rate is fixed for the entire prepaid term.
We may decline an order, in particular where the application clearly does not belong on shared hosting. In that case we say so and return any payment already received in full.
You may move to a different plan or a different term at any time. The unused proportion of what you have already paid is credited against the new invoice.
Money back
Within 30 days of the order you may cancel for any reason or none. Simply email support@r2d2hosting.com. We return the full amount within 14 days, back to the card the payment came from. The only exception is termination for a serious breach of the Acceptable Use Policy (article 06 of the policy); even then we refund the unused part of the price.
This guarantee is in addition to the statutory right of a consumer to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, which it does not limit.
Availability
We target availability of 99.9% per calendar month. Planned maintenance announced by email at least 48 hours in advance, faults caused by your own application, and events outside our control are not counted as downtime.
If availability in a month falls below 99.9%, we refund on request a proportionate part of the monthly price for the downtime beyond the target.
Backups and your data
Backups run daily and are kept on separate storage for 7, 14 or 30 days, depending on the plan. Restores are available from the control panel and, on request, from us, at no charge. Backups are a convenience and not a substitute for a copy you keep yourself, off the hosting.
Your content is yours. You can export it at any time. We look into it only when you ask us to, when we investigate a specific report or security incident, or when the law requires it (article 06 of the Acceptable Use Policy).
We are liable for damage under the law. Towards business customers our liability for damage caused by the operation of the service is limited to the price paid for the service in the 12 months before the damage arose; towards consumers this limit does not apply.
Acceptable use
How the service may and may not be used is set out in the Acceptable Use Policy. The policy is an integral part of these terms and binds you to the same extent.
Among other things the policy sets out:
- which content and which activities are prohibited on the service, and which fields are allowed only with the required licence;
- your obligation to comply with the law and with international sanctions;
- the limits of shared resources, which are listed for each plan on the plans page;
- your responsibility for everyone you give access to, including your own clients;
- how abuse is reported, what we monitor, and when we may restrict, suspend or terminate the service.
Abuse reports go to abuse@r2d2hosting.com.
Ending the service
The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price until you stop it. We send a reminder by email before every renewal. You can stop it on any day, by one email from the address registered on the account or in the control panel; the service then runs to the end of the period already paid for and nothing further is charged. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period. We may end the contract with three months' notice, returning the unused part of what you paid.
After the service ends we keep your data for another 30 days so you can download it, then delete it irreversibly.
Personal data
| What we collect | the name or company name, billing address, company and VAT identification numbers, email address, the details of the service you ordered, invoicing records, plus IP addresses and technical logs generated by running the service. |
|---|---|
| Why | to run the service and support it, to invoice it, to meet accounting and tax obligations, and to keep the platform secure. |
| How long | for the duration of the contract, and afterwards for as long as tax law requires accounting records to be kept, normally ten years. Technical logs are kept for six months. |
| Card details | entered in the payment gateway form and stored there, not here. We never see the card number. |
| Who else sees it | the datacenter operator, the domain registrar and the payment gateway, each only to the extent needed, the accountants who process the invoices, and public authorities where the law requires it. Nothing is sold and nobody else receives it. |
| Your rights | access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. An email from the address registered on the account is enough; we deal with it within 30 days. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country. |
| Cookies | this site sets only the cookies it needs to work, which are your language and currency choice. There is no analytics, no advertising and no cross-site tracking. |
Complaints and disputes
If the service does not work as it should, or you have any other objection to how we perform the contract, write to support@r2d2hosting.com or call +420 228 225 950. We confirm receipt of the complaint, deal with it within 30 days at the latest and tell you the outcome by email. A justified complaint is settled by fixing the fault or by refunding a proportionate part of the price (article 05).
The contract is governed by the law of the Czech Republic. A consumer may bring a proposal for the out-of-court settlement of a dispute to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Ústřední inspektorát, oddělení ADR, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, www.coi.cz. This does not affect the right to go to court.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms and will announce a change by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you may end the contract before that date and we return the unused part of what you paid.
